For the month of October, I joined a 31 Days of Horror Movies challenge. But book, wine, and tea reviews will be back in November.
Vampire in Brooklyn (1995)
I know I watched this when it first came out, but I had not remembered much about it besides Eddie Murphy’s hair. Wow! I think I could have taken him a bit more seriously if he had it styled differently.
I wish Murphy had played up his comedy instead of trying to be such a serious actor. When he was playing the pastor I was amused. Evil and Ass are Good! And one scene where Murphy and Angela Bassett were by the window being serious was a believable scene, I could feel some chemistry.
Julius and Silas’s antics were amusing at first, but got annoying quickly. I did enjoy the gore at the beginning on the ship, and Julius decomposing.
Not something I feel the need to watch again, or recommend.
