The Ribbon Ridge Series by Darcy Burke

This series starts with a novella, Where the Heart Is, and introduces us to Ribbon Ridge. It was the perfect amount of pages to begin the series. And since there are sextuplets, a single child and an “adopted” one, there will be lots of books in this series

The Duke’s Men Series by Sabrina Jeffries

This is a wonderful Historical Romance series filled with mystery. It takes the reader back to a different era that you want to immerse yourself in. I’ve only read What the Duke Desires so far, but I am looking forward to the rest of them.

Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward

This the perfect bad boy series. The bad boys are mainly vampires, so they’ve had centuries of doing horrible things, until they meet the love of their life. Most of them deny it at first, but the chase is half the fun.

Night Huntress Series by Jeanine Frost

I mentioned this series on last week’s Five for Friday since Grave was my topic.

Cathrine Crawfield (Cat) is half vampire, and her mission is to kill vampires until she finds her father, who ruined her mother’s life. In the first book, Halfway to the Grave, she’s out stalking vamps, when she comes across Bones. She ends up training with him to hone her skills, and along the way, the romance kicks in.

Dark Ones Series by Katie MacAlister

A Girl’s Guide to Vampires is the first book in this fun, contemporary series. The books have different romantic leads, but the various characters interweave throughout the series. If I’m looking for something to make me laugh, I’ll grab one of these books.

Here’s a blurb from the author’s page in regards to the first book:

Joy Randall’s Top 5 Tips for Vampire Hunters:

  1. Location, location, location. Remember, if you wouldn’t be there, neither would a bloodsucker.
  2. Trust your eyes. You know the handsome, annoyingly arrogant, self-assured man in the shadows with long hair and a cleft in his chin? He’s your vampire.
  3. No matter how tempting it might be, do not “accidentally” acquire a paper cut and suggest YOUR VAMPIRE kiss your finger to make it better.
  4. From here on out, play it cool. Don’t offer to accompany your prince of the night on the talk show circuit and whatever you do, don’t offer him your heart.
  5. And most of all, remembering a vampire is nothing to laugh about.
